Your data is hosted inside Europe on Amazon's secure data centers.
SquidHub's production environment is hosted on Amazon Web Services’ (“AWS”). All data are stored in AWS’s secure data centers. From Amazon’s documentation:
AWS has achieved ISO 27001 certification and has been validated as a Level 1 service provider under the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS). We undergo annual SOC 1 audits and have been successfully evaluated at the Moderate level for Federal government systems as well as DIACAP Level 2 for DoD systems.
Where is my data hosted?
All content is stored in Amazon's secure data centers inside Europe. We don't replicate data to Amazon data centers outside of Europe.
Our production environment is separate and distinct from our testing and development environments. Production data is not replicated outside of the production environment.
We recommend that you use a sufficiently strong password consisting of a minimum of 8 characters and containing letters, numbers and special characters. However, we do not enforce such security.
If you repeatedly provide an incorrect password, this triggers a lock so you'll have to wait 30 seconds before you can try again. Passwords are stored in a hashed form and will never be sent via email.
All connections are made securely over https. We use industry standard Transport Layer Security (“TLS”) to create a secure connection using 128bit Advanced Encryption Standard (“AES”) encryption. This includes all data sent between the web, iOS, and Android apps and our servers.
QA testing, Patching and Configuration Management
All changes to the production system are reviewed and QA tested in the development and testing environments before being released to the production environment. Patches to the web application are continuously deployed, usually several times per week. All environments are under strict centralized configuration management
Data uploaded to SquidHub is backed up on a regularly basis. Backups are encrypted and stored offsite to ensure that they are available in the unlikely event that a restore is necessary.
Furthermore, data is backed up on AWS based on their internal redundancy mechanism. According to Amazon, they provide 99.999999999% yearly data durability.
